Encouraging conscious and responsible shopping has been central to YOOX’s philosophy since it launched 20 years ago, helping customers to be kinder to the planet by investing in fashion with longevity. In 2009 the store launched YOOXYGEN – a socially and environmentally responsible destination featuring a carefully curated edit of sustainable brands.

Circular business: Yoox have hit the ground running with special projects such as 8 By YOOX’s 100% Regenerated Cashmere and the careful curation of brands and products for NET SUSTAIN and YOOXYGEN. To accelerate circular design, 100% of their in-house private label and multi-brand buying teams are  trained on YOOX NET-A-PORTER GROUP’s sustainable and circular product and procurement framework and they plan to extend this collaboration to their brand partners too.

Planet Positive: Yoox’s commitment is to deliver CO2e reductions in line with a Science Based Target and become climate positive across their operations and private label value chain by 2030.

Yoox adopted a fur-free policy in 2017 and now exclude both sales and promotion of all products made from animal fur. In 2009 they introduced the ECOBOX, the first responsible packaging solution in luxury fashion e-commerce. Yoox have made the commitment to  become a zero-waste business by ensuring that 100% of their operational waste is reused, recycled or composted by 2023.
