Orange Sky Laundry

Currently there are 116,000 people in Australia experiencing homelessness. Adairs have partnered with Orange Sky, who are helping to positively connect people experiencing homelessness through free laundry, showers and conversation. You can help Adairs support Australians in need by making a donation today at any of their stores, no matter how big or small. You can also choose to take home your shopping in an Adairs reusable bag, all designed in-house to suit your style. 100% of profits from the reusable bags are donated back to Orange Sky.

Adairs are introducing reusable totes across selected stores to reduce the use of plastic bags. Exclusively designed in-house, they come in different colours and prints to suit your style. 100% of profits from the reusable bags are donated back to Orange Sky.

Adairs is committed to developing sustainable business practices, and a long-term sustainability strategy is under development which will formalise current and future initiatives across the business. Adairs has been a signatory to the Australian Packaging Covenant via its APCO membership since 2011.

Adairs currently has a number of sustainable attributes across a number of product categories. These include the Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS), OEKO TEX Standard 100, Responsible Down Standard (RDS), Reprieve by Unifi (polyester from recycled plastic bottles), FSC certified timber and sustainable timber. Adairs continues to explore opportunities to expand existing initiatives whilst identifying new areas of opportunity regarding raw materials, climate change, water usage, chemical usage, energy usage and carbon emissions.

Adairs has procedures in place to ensure no modern slavery exists within its supply chain and broader business. They are committed to the elimination of child labour and have aligned their Supplier Code of Conduct to ILO Conventions 138 and 182.

All Suppliers, Sub-Contractors and Third-Party operators to Adairs are required to adhere to Adairs expectations which includes ensuring banned substances and banned processes are not used in or on any Adairs product. Suppliers, Sub-Contractors and Third-Party operators are required to adhere to national and international standards for animal welfare and minimise any potential harm, stress or pain to animals. Adairs require all production facilities that are used in the supply of their products to ensure any animal product used is a by-product of other industries.
